Academy of Model Aeronautics, Inc.
The Academy of Model Aeronautics is a non-profit organization that has developed the skills of would-be Pappy Boyingtons and Amelia Earharts since 1936. This is a hobby that has a great deal of history behind it.
Through the AMA, the CVR/Cers obtain access to numerous local, national and international competitions, making aeromodelling a true sport.
The AMA are the world’s largest model aviation association, representing a membership of more than 150,000 from every walk of life, income level and age group. It is a self-supporting, non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the development of model aviation as a recognized sport and worthwhile recreation activity.
